Cinnamon Chips

â…“ Cup White Sugar

1 Tbsp. Light Corn Syrup

1 Tbsp. Vegetable Shortening

2 Tsp. Cinnamon

​

-Stir all ingredients in a bowl until a dough forms 

-Roll between 2 sheets of parchment paper

until 1/8-1/4" thick

-Transfer to a baking sheet and take off the top layer of parchment paper

-Bake at 225ºF for about 35-45 minutes until gold bubbly and light brown

-Let cool and break into small chips

Vanilla Glaze

 

1 Cup Confectioners' Sugar

3 Tbsp. Heavy Cream

1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract

1/2 Tsp. Salt

​

-Whisk the confectioners sugar, cream, vanilla, and salt until a nice glaze forms

(If the glaze is too thick, add more cream)

Lemon Glaze

​

1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

2 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Zest of 1 Lemon

​

-Double Boil the Lemon Juice and confectioners sugar 

-Once the sugar dissolves, add the butter and zest

-Whisk and continue to do so until any lumps disappear

-Remove from flame
