Brownies
***Makes 9 Servings
8 oz good-quality chocolate, semi-sweet
12 tablespoons butter, melted
1 ¼ cups sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
¾ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt
-Line a 8x8" baking dish with parchment paper
-Double boil the chocolate (pot halfway full of water, bowl on the pot, and set on simmer - add the chocolate)
-In a bowl, combine the butter and sugar and whisk until extremely fluffy (1-2 minutes)
-Add the eggs and vanilla and mix
-Once the chocolate is melted, add it in, and mix
-Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt and mix
-Add the brownie batter and spread out evenly
-Bake at 350ºF for 25-30 minutes
-Slice and enjoy!
