Apple Tart
***Makes 4 Tarts
Puff Pastry
3 Fuji or Honey-crisp Apples
Melted Butter
Sugar
Powdered Sugar
Vanilla Ice Cream
-Skin and core 1 apple
-Cut into small chunks and throw in a pot with a little water and 2-3 pinches of sugar
-Put on medium flame and cover (The water will boil- this is ok)
-When the apples soften, mash them until they turn into apple sauce, and let cool
-Defrost puff pastry from the freezer and dust with flour (you can buy puff pastry sheets at any supermarket in the frozen aisle.
-Roll out the puff pastry into thin sheets and use a big cookie cutter to cut out several circles
-Place the circles on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and set aside
-Skin and core 2 more apples
-Slice each apple in half and cut extremely thin slices along the short part of the apple (each piece should be curved 180º)
-Now, spoonful apple sauce onto each circle and line the apple slices in a spiral
-Spoonful melted butter and sprinkle sugar over each "tart"
-Dust the outer sides of each "tart" with powdered sugar and throw in the oven at 400ºF for 10-20 minutes
-Serve with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
